Darrell was born and raised in Waterford, Pennsylvania, a small and historic town in Erie County. He graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School and continued his studies at American University. After graduation, he began working on Capitol Hill, starting in the office of Rep. John E. Peterson (PA-05). When Congressman Peterson retired, Darrell joined the office of his successor, Rep. Glenn 'GT' Thompson (PA-15), as a senior staffer and focused on military, defense, and veterans issues. After that, Darrell went to the Senate to serve as the National Security Advisor for Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA).
Darrell is currently serving as the Director of Government Relations for America’s Warrior Partnership, assisting veterans around the nation. In addition to serving in this role, Darrell also serves our nation in uniform as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve. Darrell recently returned from United States Army Europe, where he was the Deputy Foreign Policy Advisor and Congressional Liaison. Previously, Darrell has deployed overseas to South Korea, Poland, and Germany. Darrell is also a 2012 graduate of the Air Force Air Command & Staff College, and a 2016 graduate of the U.S. Army War College.
